Destinations you can plan around

Ubud is the usual inland day: rice terraces, coffee stops, temples, and waterfalls such as Tegenungan or Beji. Recorded Ubud plans also include rafting, ATV, an art village, Bali Zoo, and a swing. You choose the mix. Nothing is added until it is confirmed.

Kintamani and Mount Batur sit on the highland side of the island. Sunrise trekking at Batur is its own trip, separate from a daytime sightseeing route. South Bali covers Nusa Dua watersport, Turtle Island, Pandawa, Uluwatu, and Jimbaran.

Nusa Penida is a full day off the main island. The west route visits Angel Billabong, Broken Beach, Kelingking, and Crystal Bay. Travel tips before you go

• Share your hotel area, date, and the stops you care about most. One day cannot cover Ubud, the south coast, and Nusa Penida together.
• Temple visits need covered shoulders and a sarong. Ask before you leave so it is in the car.
• Rain and ceremony days change outdoor stops. Build the day so one closed gate does not cancel the rest.
• Airport, hotel, and point-to-point rides are taxi trips. A day of sightseeing is a private tour. Say which one you need.
• Spa, tattoo studio, and fast-boat help is information and coordination. Those businesses confirm their own bookings.
